Well, hungaryforever, didn't the Ricardo PK shootout goal in the same match lampard scored in make you literally scream and jump in front of the TV screen in such violent fashion that you severely damaged your knee so that you now need multiple surgery?
I know, I'm bad for telling tales out of school.
For me, it was Berdusco's goal for Canada against Brazil at an Edmonton friendly a week before the start of WC 1994, giving us a 1-1 draw with the imminent world champions. Beggars can't be real picky choosers.

Brian McBride's diving header to make it 3-0 US over Portugal. O'Brien's first goal was great but I was still like, "ok, awesome, but there's still of a hell of a long game to go." The second goal was a fluke and I'm sure I jumped off the couch, but mostly out of shock rather than jubilation.

Pape Bouba Diop (Senegal) vs France, WC02. I lived in Senegal for a few months so I've adopted the team. I would've done anything to have been in Dakar on that day.
Brian McBride (3rd goal for USA) vs Portugal, WC02. (Sorry Viva :-) The 1st goal was 'cool.' The 2nd goal was 'wow, how lucky.' The 3rd goal was 'holy sh** we're up 3-0 against Portugal.'
Craig Hignett (Leicester) vs Arsenal, EPL '03-04. Hignett scored an equalizer at the death for bottom of the table LC against the unbeaten Gunners. We'd thrown away so many points by conceding late goals, including the week before vs Newcastle, it was nice to get one our way. Unfortunately, we got relegated anyway.

O'Brien's goal against Portugal. I never had time to react to Baia's initial save on McBride's header. I was thinking oh great here come our finsihing problems again.

The disallowed Campbell goal. I was dancing in the aisle and taunting Portuguese fans for ages before I realised the ref hadn't given it.

I'm right with you-for all intents & purposes, that cinched our spot in the final 8.
Mathis' FK v. Honduras is a close second.

Yeah you're right. The game ended 3-2, I didn't mean 3-0 was the final, just that at the time McBride's goal made it 3-0. I don't know which own goal you talk about. The Portuguese (the second goal I wrote about) own goal was ridiculous becuase it was a lucky play. The American (Agoos) own goal was ridiculous because it was a horrible play.

Adriano equalizer on Sunday vs. Argentina in the last play of the match when Brazil seemed doomed. I haven't been able to speak for the past 4 days since, and guess what it was worth it. :)
