Maybe GR Cannon can be our backup keeper.

Our whole team is hurt! Aah!

At least Rimando hasn't been playing much, but if Troy gets hurt we're in deep trouble.

do we even have a third keeper?

Nope.

I know it's been mentioned elsewhere, but check the appropriate article (http://dcunited.mlsnet.com/MLS/news/team_news.jsp?ymd=20040727&content_id=9715&vkey=news_dcu&fext=.jsp&team=dcu) at DCUnited.com. Rimando, Nelson, and Q1 are going/have been under the knife.

Isn't Doug Warren now a MLS pool keeper? That'd be interesting.

Actually Andrew Terris is a MLS pool keeper. Was on the MET bench when Walker got called up. Has been on the DAL bench the last few weeks. Garlick was back on the DAL bench this last weekend. So Terris should be available.

Nope.

My Nephew's a keeper. He's about to head off to college to play, but he'd probably be happy to sit on DC's bench for free (so as not to hurt his NCAA eligibility) for a couple games. ;)

A friend of mine is 21..and is a NCAA Division III, he's up the road in SE PA. He can sit onthe bench...

It's funny that we even propose such scenarios. Can you imagine if someone on extremeskins.com proposed having one of their friends step in if the Redskins had a crisis at linebacker?

well...no because that "friend" would have to actually play. All this backup keeper would have to do is go to training and ride the bench for a game or 2..

Warren's been on the Revs' roster for the last three, maybe four, games. He could still be a pool keeper, but that probably means they had to sign him; I think pool assignments are weekly.

Anyone know where Clint Baumstark is these days?

Warren is with NE, was mostly joking. I'm pretty sure Warren is a pool keeper based on something I saw in some newspaper article. Baumstark is with Columbus.

Baumstark was gone from the CLB bench tonight (Jordan returned). Might be available. Again Garlick was on the DAL bench so Terris may be available too.

On this team, you're assuming someone wouldn't get hurt so your friend wouldn't have to play? That's gambling, my friend.

Rimando does not look like he will go to Chivas USA as one of their 3 Senior International players will be a goalie (Martin Zuniga) and he is very pricey for a back-up as we well know.

The way DCU has defended recently it really does matter who's in goal or who the back is, Tim Howard wouldn't be much help.
