anyone who saw the CR opener care to comment on the play of Eric Scott? he is a member of my home town team, the columbus crew, but rarely plays...

Well, I'm watching CR/Iraq right now and I can say that Scott is really SUCKING in this game. Just horrible. Can't figure out why they took out Saborio instead of Scott. Looks to me like Scott is really rusty, because he looked pretty damn good playing in CR before his transfer to Columbus.

Yup! I am surprised they made it to the olympics at all!

just kidding. Costa Rica's got only one point, and they go up against Portugal next. I am pretty sure Costa Rica is NOT going to the next round.

If Costa Rica beats Portugal and Iraq beats or draws Morocco, the Ticos can advance.

Yeah, but i'd say their chances of that are slim. Very.

Fantastic! Good for the U-23 Ticos!

People wrote the team off prior to their match with Portugal, and now they're in the quarterfinals. Let's hope they do the same against Argentina. Argentina hasn't exactly been playing well in the knockout stages this summer, as practically the same Argie team in the Olympics was also at the Copa.

Go Ticos! All of CONCACAF is with you!

I can only hope Costa Rica can somehow manage to beat Argentina, i can already hear the Argentines talk smack if they grab the gold medal.

Vamos Ticos!

Wrong. We're not sore winners.

Some Brazil fans, however...(Well, see for yourself):
