The FA has adopted a new disciplinary code that will make suspensions inmediately come into effect after a red card, and less time for a team to appeal a red card or suspension.

It will definitely make things interesting. It might actually force a player like Alan Smith to grow up and think before he throws one of his temper tantrums after seeing his first yellow card.

I have a feeling that there will be some players who will be made examples of from this new disciplinary code, and we may see some very cautious play from guys like Keane, Savage and Vieira (who are my first picks to feel the wrath of refereeing staff) after their first bans.
