what represents when you're playing at your peak? For me being able to have simple thoughts such as "top left corner" or "far post cross" running through my mind means I'm completely dialed in. When these thoughts turn into "Um, to put that shot in the corner I need to do this and this" or " I need to strike the ball like this to put that cross in" I'm in trouble because my mind is overreacting and I'm not one with the game. Having a mental synergy with the game makes such a difference, because when it's there everything on the pitch can be as simple as any other daily task.

Geh, registered a nick just to reply. I'm pathetic :P Anyway, for me it's completely different. When I'm "in the zone," so to speak, my body usually reacts before I can think instead of having any thoughts as to whether I should pass/kick/do whatever. If I had the time to look back, I doubt I'd ever try to do any of the stuff I did.

As soon as i hear the whistle blow im in "THE ZONE." All I hear are my coaches and teammates (when they talk) and there are no distractions. Somthing like the phase that one guy was in from BIKER BOYZ

i get all weirdand i can nutmeg people when i dont even try. which was weird. i would nutmeg em once, then the second time when i try to round em, i would cut one side or do a trick but the ball would always end up meggin them.

usually I have music stuck in my head, and sometimes it takes my mind off the game. When I'm in the zone - no music

For me it's when after something awsome I'm thinking "how the hell did I do that!?", it's like automatic.

Yoy're in the zone when mistakes are very effective and even the worst shots go in.

I'm in my zone when I make a long pass or pullback and it finds the mark without my having to consciously look for it. Last few weeks I've not been in a "shooting" zone but my passes have been spot-on. Indoors, I'm in my zone when I do crazy flick-on's between the legs, etc. I love em!

DAMN I am wanting to play. I was too sick/busy to play pickup last night... I am jonesing for a game..............

For me, I'm in the zone when I do things instinctively without needing to think. I find if I think about what I want to do too much it just goes wrong or I don't pull it off properly.
