A few points in response to your valid concerns:
--Portugal-Morocco will be played on Sunday, August 15, not August 18. I don't believe Telemundo will be showing anything three days after it happens.
--Obviously this kind of schedule is subject to change. We can always revise it when further information comes along. Everybody is free to contribute in that regard.
--NBC's Olympics website is quite vague about exact times. This is annoying, but they will no doubt be doing a lot of juggling around on the 7(!) stations which will be showing events. We'll have to stay on our toes about this.
--ALL Olympic soccer matches are scheduled to be played at the exact same time on every day, which is 8:30 PM Athens time. That is 1:30 PM Eastern time in the United States. Only one match a day can be shown live, unless NBC plans to air soccer on more than Telemundo. It seems they will. More on that down below.
--Telemundo is also scheduled to air soccer overnight at 1:30 AM ET / 12:30 AM CT / 1:30 AM PT on the days soccer is being held. Right now, I do not have a schedule of matches set for this overnight time. They will probably not be replays of previously shown matches, but instead broadcasts of matches not aired during the day. Once again, there may be juggling of games, depending on which becomes considered important as the tournament progresses.
--As to other NBC stations being involved in soccer broadcasts. The NBC website lists:
Tuesday, August 12: Iraq vs. Portugal on MSNBC live. Ghana vs. Italy on Telemundo (no time yet--overnight?)
Saturday, August 14: Argentina vs. Tunisia will be shown on CNBC live. As our list states, Telemundo will have it on tape after South Korea-Mexico.
Sunday, August 15: Italy vs. Japan on CNBC live. This is also the day of Portugal-Morocco (another overnight Telemundo match perhaps)
Tuesday, August 17: Serbia & Montenegro vs. Tunisia on MSNBC live.
Wednesday, August 18: Paraguay vs. Italy may be live on Telemundo, instead of Costa Rica vs. Portugal. Morroco vs. Iraq is to air also (again, maybe overnight).
(They sure as hell are making certain all the Iraq matches are shown!)
Right now, all this may appear a bit confusing. But as we lead up to the Olympics, firm schedules should be more readily available. We still have 17 days until the first matches begin. The Telemundo schedule in the first post is as accurate as possible right now. They will be showing at least two matches every afternoon on the days soccer is taking place, plus another one overnight.
We'll update as frequently as is necessary.

Am i correct in thinking that the games that are not on Telemundo will be in English?
Are the going to have English audio as a second option (like GolTv) for any of the Tlemundo matches?

Both of my posts say Portugal is playing Costa Rica on the 18th.
My second post states twice that Portugal-Morocco is on the 15th. I never said it was on the 18th. Morocco is playing Iraq on the 18th.

I can find nothing which indicates there will be a second audio feed of English commentary.
Everybody is going to be stuck with Andres Cantor. Maybe he'll throw a little bit of English in the mix on occasion.

I am hopeful it is one of the advantages of having practically all the soccer matches on Telemundo that we shall be spared interruptions by commercials.

Need to correct the date as being Thursday August 12th ;)
Also ... seems that Telemundo will air b2b 2 of the 4 games each MD of the group stage ... one on tape delay at 1:30 am ... and MSNBC/CNBC will air the 4th game of the MD live???
If so ... any idea what happened to the other 2 games of MD1 (Aug. 11th) ??
This is the complete schedule. TImeas are in Greek time ... for EST substract 7. http://www.fifa.com/en/comp/matches/0,3677,OLY2004S8,00.html
Peace.

LOL
Ok ... if u go to the Fifa link on my post you will find the entire Football Olympic schedule.
Each MD of the Group Stage (Wed Aug 11th being the first one) there are 4 games ... ALL played at the same time.
We know that Telemundo is showing 2 games each day there is football ... one live at 1:30 pm EST ... one tape delay right after the live game at 3:30 pm EST. Refer to the first post of this thread for the schedule.
Telemundo will also show a third game via tape delay game at 1:30 am EST ...
Finally ... by the info posted by River Plate ... CNBC or MSNBC (will vary) will show one game live ... which isn't any of the ones covered by Telemundo.
In short ... it seems to me we will be able to watch every game of the Football Olympics either on Telemundo, CNBC or MSNBC.
Note that two different games will be on LIVE ... one on Telemundo and one on MSNBC/CNBC. So have a VHS tape ready to tape one of them ... unless you want to simply switch back and forth and miss 1/2 the action.
