In the Post article about the Dallas game:
"And forward-midfielder Santino Quaranta, who made his season debut in an exhibition last week, is experiencing pain in the area where he had adductor surgery and is out again."

He just can't catch a break with the injuries. Neither can Thiago, or Ben, or Earnie, or Eliseo, or Ryan, or . . . . well, you know where this is going.

So Nelsen is still out?!!! Hey, I think I need to catch a plane to Dallas and throw on a jersey. I'm in pretty decent shape. Would you guys be for the team paying for my plane ticket out of their budget? lol

I bet they'll have a field jersey with Rimando printed on it for the game. He'll play forward (he fits our profile) then he'll do a Preki cutback (he always studied them so hard that they completely mezmerized him into staring blankly at the following shot as it trickled into our net) and score the gamewinner. We can all spend next week arguing about him. Half of the board will say he should be our new starting striker while the other half will say he's still ****. ;)

How does that old Blues tune go?

All of these injuries really make you wonder if the sh!t training facilities DC United has to deal with are finally taking a toll.
Looks like it's time for Payne, et al, to get off their fat businessman asses and get the team a real SSS with proper facilities.
Oh, you're waiting for the DC government? Then let's change the name to the DC Cripples.
This situation is bullsh!t.

Early this week, D.C. United Coach Peter Nowak was throwing around the idea of pulling on a jersey and inserting himself into the starting lineup for tonight's match against the Dallas Burn at the Cotton Bowl.
He was only half-joking
Get in there coach! ;)

I wish this was like the NBA where you can sign a player for 10 days. Oh well...

Mark Simpson has game time as a forward. Maybe they can sign him to be a temp player/coach.

"Born under a Bad Sign" by Willie Dixon. DC United should hire a charter jet for a quick tour of France. More specifically, they should go directly to Lourdes.

I wish they could describe Tino's injury better then "it hurts". It just makes it sound like he lacks the testicular fortitude to get out there.

If your groin hurt to high hell, considering it was once torn from the bone..I think "it hurts" would be enough..
