this was discussed a little b4 the BigSoccer Blow Up, but i never got a reply to my question :(. it started about WC02 having the WC logo on the corner flags despite the fact that Law I says that corner flags cannot have advertisement on them. i think the WC is ok, and that the flags should be auctioned off with the money going to referee development in smaller federations.

i asked what to do about the tourneys where i work...@ the last tourney tournament officials were driving around in golf-carts changing the blank red flags for red flags with snickers logos on them. this city also was hosting the State cup (sponsored by snickers, no?) in about 2 weeks. i didn't say anything bc i'm not going to be a pill, but the laws say no advertisement.

feedback welcome, even if it's scathing...not like i don't here scathing feedback from parents, coaches, fans, etc ;)

I feel fortunate to have corner flags. Our local club is having problems with flags going for walks.

Use law XVIII. At the youth level, it really does not make much of a difference, as long as they are logos and not true ads. I would have a problem if the flags were for Burger King or McDonalds unless they were a major sponsor of the turnament.
