I know it is probably just because I'm a loser that has no life right now, but does it seem like the presses have been awful silent about the team. They announced it the 14th, and have announced nothing further since then. I suppose they have to pace themselves, or they will use up all the news they can generate too quickly and be left with nothing as the season approaches and they need to suck people in and sell them tickets. I just think they need to play this thing like a missing persons case. Leak a little more news each day, so that the press is always covering them and keeping the interest up.
What do you guys think? Are they being slow to bring more news on the team, or am I just a psycho? I'm personally leaning towards choice two. (maybe I should include a poll)

You should talk to the people on the Chivas USA threads. That'll teach you patience beyond your years.

Probably not much more is going to happen until some upper management is in place. Then more and more decisions will be made and some PR pieces will be issued.

When they announced the team they said it would be in August that they would announce the team name and GM. So give them a couple more weeks and then we can start cheering for the SLC Fuzzy Bunnies (oh, no z's make that SLC Fluffy Bunnies) and be excited that Freddy Adu, the soccer phenom, is going to be the GM, Coach, Player. Then we can rest at ease knowing that SLC is set for years because the entire franchise is not old enough to drive.
But in all reality, I am anxious for more news, but we need a week or two before we will get any...

On July 17 I was told by an MLS staffer that..."we'll see you in three weeks for the name and colors annoucement."
I know schedules in MLS can be fluid but that would the next big news out in the first week of Aug.

It's been nine days. Nine. Niner. Just over a week. Relax. They're not going to put out a press release every day.
They were on the fastest track from idea to announcement that I've ever seen in sports. Give them a little time. It doesn't mean they're not working. It just means they have work to do.
Relax.
I heard on WEEI that they might fold :D
