All it means is that Barça can use him as an EU player and it frees a non-EU spot, nothing more.

Presumably if Barca want Saviola to get Spanish naturalisation it is because they itend to play him, at the moment their quote of non-EU players is full, this can only be a good thing for Saviola.

It's never good to see someone go down to injury but for El Conejito it is potentially a chance. Rijkaard must be oh so happy about right now that Saviola didn't allow himself to get loaned out. If Rijkaard doesn't give him the chance he's just an idiot.

Good to see Messi got the goal to tie it up.
Saviola should get his chance, he played for a few minutes this weekend against Valencia. Probably him and Gudjohnsen will get Eto's spot.
I injured a meniscus in my knee a while back playing hockey, I couldnt walk for a week, and it took about 2 months to get fully better, but it still bothers me sometimes.

He's always been an idiot. :D
With all the stars Barcelona has, they don't even need a coach to get the job done. :p

I am sorry for Eto but at the same time i am excited to see what Rijkaard will do. Saviola will definetly get more playing time now and if he don't take this opportunity by steping up i will be really disappointed.

El Conejito will now become one of Barcas two main strikers says Rijkaard.
'Saviola has always worked hard even when he has not been playing and so he will now become one of our two main strikers,' said Rijkaard.
