For those of you in Utah or close enough to support the team, how much do you plan to do so?

Season tickets..too darned old/boring for the supporter's section.

Plan to get 10 or so others to get season tickets as well...looking forward to the tailgates.

My co-workers fully expect the team to start giving me a "finders fee".

Actually, my co-workers just want me to shut up already re the MLS and get some work done.

I would've voted but there wasn't an option for "I'm moving so I can see them all".

Who's the idiot that voted for not going to any of the games?

Maybe a Stingers fan that is affraid MLS may wipe out the attendance at the baseball games. I just hope our local media gives our beloved MLS team as much air time as they do the freaking Jazz, or BYU or U of U football. People do go to those games though, so hopefully we will get our air time if we can get people out to support MLS.

I live in Boise, Idaho, and am considering buying season tix. Luckily, my in-laws live in the SLC area.

You should do it, the Boise-SLC drive is not too bad either. I'd like to see your favorite team change too!

Living in Logan I can't really vouch as much for the "local" media.

But, a friend living in Salt Lake and I were talking about this the other day. He felt that much of the local media and "non-soccer" fans will be supporting the team as a sense of pride for the area. They want to show that Salt Lake can handle major league sports in general. I know we'll never get as much coverage as we want but I think the media won't ignore the team. Especially if they see it as a stepping stone to getting other major league sports to the area .

I'm trying to recruit my three sisters. They all played soccer in the past, so they just need to feel the atmosphere, and they'll be hooked. They all have husbands and families too. Could be 10 fans worth in all that rabble. But that would include some very young kids, so maybe not.

Welcome to BS. If you can come to games then do it, and leave the Crew behind!

Is it wrong that I'm considering transferring from BYU to U of U just so I can have this in my backdoor? ;)

Not really. God bless Trax.

Perhaps I could have started another thread on this subject, but it's probably related to the poll in question: How many of you in Utah (including ex-pat Utahns) that have a favorite MLS team will switch allegiance to the new SLC club?

I'm still a DC United fan. I grew up in Northern VA. But I just have to get on this thing. I'll be a resident of Utah for another 6-8 years while finishing school, so this IS my team.

Add this to list of reasons to attend the University of Utah. :D

I'm going all out for this team. I'm from Park City and I've been a huge Metrostars fan for 7 years. Looks like not any more. Go SLC!

I will pose the same question to you, that I have posed to everyone who moves away from thier "home town".

Will you do what most people seen to do, and still always root for D.C. United first and foremost, and cheer for DCU when they come to SLC to play the new team there? OR will you abandon DCU and adopt the new SLC team as your new team, and cheer against DCU?

I can tell you that for myself, no matter where I move, and how long I live there, the teams I grew up with and are my home town teams are the ones I will always root for first and foremost, even if I am to adopt another team in my new local area.

EDIT: I will not vote in the poll here, as I do not live in Utah, and thus will not have any affect on thier home attendance.
