I submitted the name Sky Blues. No real nickname, Sky Blue uniforms...that seems international enough for Checketts, but also could help lead the trend away from the cartoon soccer model ascribed to by the 96ers, the fourth of which will be put to sleep this year

Excepting the Metro, the original teams with the same name since 96 didn't select cartoonish names.

The last expansion saw both teams with less outlandish, some would even say decent soccer names.

I believe that the Revolution is a fitting name for a New England team, as that was the birthplace of the American Revolution. :)

I was sitting the fence on those. I know the Galaxy was going for the Cosmos angle, and Revoloution wasn't horrible either. The bottom 4 were misconceived comic book mnemonic devices that didn't work. The top 4 have either solid names or have grown into the lexicon
