Well Pasha's idea was to play a head to head league with a draft. I believe that the Premier League site only offeres salary cap games.
I'd like to play if the logistics get worked out to something reasonable, running this kind of league could get pretty tedious without a good format.
One issue i have with the scoring is that midfielders arean't really worth much, especially defensive mids who won't score much. They can only contribute basically to two categories, fair points and +/- and if they take some yellow cards they are really worth to have for +/-. Someone like Vieira would not be worth much, but i think he should be, midfielders should get some credit for playing time as defenders do, as well as credit for not allowing goals. It doens't have to be as much as defenders but if they get nothing almoust all will be pretty worthless. I don't know what sort of formations we would allowed but playing a formation with as many forwards and defenders as possible would be advantageous in this format.

just a suggestion
isnt this going to be alot of work for you
calculating the scores and all that stuff plus keeping track
i think it would be better for us to do a draft and then according to the players we get we all register under a private league in www.premierleague.com
????wont be perfect but i think it will be easier

we need to set a draft date and everbody needs to have a list of at least 30 you would like to draft you will be able to pick 20 secondary players will probably be needed in case the one you wanted is taken

there will be 8 matchdays then the matchdays will repeat themselves at OPPOSITE homes
the first team in the matchday is the home team
there will be a total of 32 games
the first 8 settings will be picked
the second 8 will follow reversed and at opposite homes
the third 8 will be picked a new
and the fourth 8 will follow reversed and at opposite homes
then the top 6 teams will play a cup with the last 6 games of the premiere season
the 6 teams after the leader will meet in a straight knockout 3 games leaving 3 teams left those 3 teams will play 2 games among themselves the top winner will play the final against the chart leader....
any comments ideas questions?

is this the real draft order?
after the first 8 picks are made do the picks then go from 8-1 then1-8 like a snake in yahoo fantasy???
as for a way to determine the draft you can do it by # of posts i think thats fair

I picked a totally random draft list using a random number/name picking program thats the results I got...
when the first 8 picks are made the list repeats itself until all 20 are done..
number of posts isnt really that fair randomly is the best deal..

the list repeats itself so its basically like this
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8
9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16
19,20,21,22,23,24,
so the person with the first pick gets 1,9,19
person with 8th pick gets 8,16,24
it should be a snake system
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
16 15 14 13 12 11 10 9
17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24
this is more reasonable
manager 1 gets 1,16,17
manager 8 gets 8,9,24 and so forth
whoever picks 1st will take henry and then for every round they get first pick is amateur

players like henry will probably be kept as wildcards to be given to a random person who turns in one of their players in turn....most likely all the players from manchester u and arsenal will be sorted out randomly ....

also each player should choose a name for his team and design a shield/logo or ask and ill design one for you when asking ask specifically what you want to be done...

The draft should go like a snake as vandamn proposed.
What are yuo talking about manu and arsenal players sorted out randomly, what's the point of a draft if players are put on teams randomly.

i dont even know what type of order he was talking about
the best thing would be to do the draft in a snake system and we have our own league in www.premierleague.com
with the players we drafted
you already have a platform for scoring and the computer will do all the calculations plus you can see your team displayed
those rules posted at the beginning are a bit too much and whoever is running this will get exhausted calculating all those stats
besides alot of the people at bigsoccer play many fantasy games
