Shakhtar is going to repeat.
It's possible, they have a very good team for that level but the CL teams are yet to enter and this year it could be some big guns.

There are quite a few truly good teams in the competition, e.g. Valencia. And we might see teams like Liverpool or Bayern in the next round also. Going to be quite a challenge to win the title this season.
I don't expect Shakhtar to repeat their win.

Borowski!
It's going to be interesting when the likes of Liverpool, Juve and maybe even one of Barca/Inter enter the competition. ;)

Well, if Bayern and Stuttgart had played suckass Herrenveen, they would have won too.

Then again, as Footy said, ManUre, Real, Barca and other "big names" are also not up to speed and are having similar difficulties. How does Barca and ManUre compare? Have they had their 2 best creative players missing for most of the season? No... United have had a fit team for most of the year and that is why they are 2nd in EPL and 1st in their group. Barcelona have missed Henry, but he's come back and isn't doing much either. Real Madrid and Liverpool are having the same problems as us, because we are getting literally raped with injuries so far this season. Just because United lose a player for a measly 90m and decide not to do anything with that money, that's not relevant to our situation.
As for the excuses bullsh1t that you and Footy either can't read or simply like to rant for sh1ts and giggles, my question would be what are you on about? I didn't say Bayern didn't put themselves in this situation or any other crap your posts took it to. One team has been getting much better draws than the other the past few years, it sucks when I see it and that was the bottom line. Bordeaux is also f#cking lucky we didn't have Robbery fit with us because they definitely aren't a better team than us. With them, we would kick their asses back to France and in there too. They could hardly beat us while we are down to 10 men most of the match and losing literally our 3 best players of the season while the last match the ref decided to f#ck it up first, only for Van Dumbass to ensure we wouldn't win. Sh1t happens, we need to adapt and hopefully start dealing with it. Whether we will is another story, but that's why the word hope was created.

How does Barca and ManUre compare?
The comparison was that Bayern, like Barca, Real and ManUre, are not dominating their groups as they "normally" would. Also, that each (except for ManUre) also have difficult groups.
And the jury is out on whether Bayern would be dominating Bordeaux with Flopery and Batman's sidekick on the pitch. Sure, on paper they are impressive in the line-up but that is why they play the games...to see who actually wins. I bet Heerenven are wondering why Hertha did just not roll over today too. Just because Bayern field a strong team with Ribery and Robben does not guarantee a group leader. I'll wager when they are fit it won't be enough to get Bayern a salad plate either.

Two things never change with you EQ:
1) You're the undisputed king of excuses for Bayern.
2) When someone makes a point that you have nothing valid to come back with, we can always count on a weak ass attack.
Grow up.

Well you also thought there would be at least 8 teams this year that were better than Hoffenheim, and look how horribly wrong you were there. They hardly beat us in our sh1tties state missing 3 of our best players in both matches, and playing with 10 men in one of those 2 matches for 60 minutes.
Tough groups are given, we deal with it. Well we didn't technically.

Thanks for offering nothing yet again, next time read something instead of throwing a tantrum and not realizing what the other poster was even talking about.

Yeah...but EQ, you're dealing with it by whining about it being a tough group...that's how this whole discussion about group 'toughness' got started. I'm guessing that the vast majority of teams that made it to CL also think that their group is tough, too. 'Dealing with it' from a fan's standpoint would be not complaining about how we 'always have a tougher group' than everyone else. Right now we suck. And who we're drawn against really doesn't have much bearing.
In the end, you play who you're drawn against. If you play well, you handle it and advance. If your group was a little easier than expected, you can rest assured that the next level will be a bitch.
Champions League is not about the draw and whether or not you have an easier route to advanced rounds than other teams. It's about showing who's the biggest badass in Europe and handling the situation at every level, regardless of who you're facing.
If you can, great. If you can't, you're not the biggest badass in the jungle, simple as... Right now, we're WAY down the food chain, despite history, and despite what we all want for Bayern and despite what we think they should be doing with the talent they have assembled.
I'm not thinking that the Barca's and Chelsea's of the world are complaining about their draw versus somebody else's draw. They have a job in front of them and they're working at it.

Year ain't over yet, is it, my friend. Geesh, given that Hoppenheim is in 5th and only two points from 8th place that's really not as bad a predication as you make it sound, now is it?
They hardly beat us in our sh1tties state missing 3 of our best players in both matches, and playing with 10 men in one of those 2 matches for 60 minutes.
I will give you the tight away loss. But a home loss missing a few players? I would not classify that loss as "hardly beat" you guys.
I get that Robben and Ribery are your top players, but does that excuse the likes of Klose, van Bommel, Toni, Lahm, Demchelis, etc., as being totally inept without those guys? C'mon, Bayern has a world-class line-up which should be doing much better than they are. It is all too convenient to toss this on the lack of a Ribery or Robben. Heck, what are you guys going to do next summer when Ribery leaves?

We should be doing better but didn't. The scoreline is not what happened on the field, but sh1t happens and we have to try to deal with it.
Also don't put Van Bommel on the same line as those other guys, he is not in their level.
Klose, Lahm and Toni are not having good seasons so far, Klose especially is just plain bad.
The Hoff clearly aren't a one man team anymore anyways, Ibisevic is having an "ok" season and look where they are atm. They'll finish enough to get at least an Europa position, that much I'm sure of.

I think Ibiesevic is having his normal season. His kick ass season was an anomaly.
I think Hoff are capable of keeping their position but ONLY because no one above them seems capable of dominating the league. HSV, Bremen and Bayern are all having mediocre seasons. Wolfsburg I think is just waiting to implode. Scheiss is so on/off you never know what will happen. When I think of Schiess I am reminded of Rommel's quote about what the Italian Army: "One never counts in, or on, the Italian Army". That pretty much sums up Scheiss.
I think in a "normal" season with these other teams playing better, Hoff is high mid-table at best. But the prediction was Hoff at 8th at the end of the season. Let's let this one play out before we dis the prediction.
