It's tough right now to get excited about this team. I want to, desperately, but just don't want a let down. A win today would be huge though.

As long as we keep it close, I'll be happy.
That 5-0 loss a few weeks ago was embarrassing.

I'm keeping track with the gametracker on the EFC site. Seems like we're controlling, just can't find the net.

Isn't Benfica doing pretty well in the Portuguese League this year?
I believe I heard they suffered their 1st loss in the league this past weekend.

Yes thats correct. 2nd place. We are ahead of Porto and Sporting. Braga is in 1st. That is also the team we lost 2-0 to this weekend. Benfica are 7-1-1 this season.

Saviola has been very impressive in his games vs. Everton.
Is he doing well for Benfica in league competition?

Everton have had some shots on net, some directly at the keeper, some he saved well, some just wide or over. Yobo almost had an own goal, saved by TH.
Hope they can pull off a win here.

He's doing well. 4 league goals, several assists. But our main guy is Cardozo with 11 goals. 3rd best goal scorer in ALL of Europe!

Impressive. You guys certainly seem to be having good success with your South American pickups.

Benefica blows a one on one run on TH, far, far over the net.

Phew.
DiMaria should have scored on that breakaway.

Total waste of a free kick by Bily with Hibberts help on miscommunication it looks like.
And Timmy saves on the breakaway again.
