I remember the old Cleveland Stokers and the Cleveland Cobras. I would love to see Cleveland, especially with Randy Lerner owning Aston

New Jersey is a great state for soccer..however soccer in south jersey is way more popular than it is with north jersey.

Ugh.
Why not a poll of rich guys. "Which two rich guys should buy MLS expansion spots"?
And seriously, Charleston, SC, WTF?
Where did that come from.
Come on folks, use your brain before posting.

This is pretty much just asking where people are from.

...it came from a three year old poll someone dug up for reasons unknown.

So when is this actually gonna happen?
So when is this actually gonna happen?
In terms of the above 2004 poll, it already has; that round had Real Salt Lake and Chivas USA enter. We're already on to the next round, as Toronto entered this year, and theoretically another team will enter next year or the year after.

The northwest (Seattle) and southeast (Atlanta, MLS has already failed in Florida) areb lacking MLS teams. I would also like a team near where I live in Nassau County, NY.
MLS has 13 teams.

Atlanta is the largest city in the most ignored region for the Game. MLS needs to target it, and quickly.
People rag on the ATL for not being a good sports town because the transplant population is so large, but there are no Celtics/Rangers/Yankees/Bears/Eagles/Red Wings in MLS- yet. But if MLS waits another 10-12 years, the situation with soccer will be the same as it is for other ATL sports. Putting a team there now or within the next 4-5 years will assure that the team will be supported by Atlanta's soccer fans no matter where they came from originally.
If there are any questions about attendance, look at the Beat's attendance compared to that of other WUSA teams. If the Beat drew favorably, so will an MLS team.
And whoever recommended promoting the 'Backs to MLS has a very good idea, if that can be done.

Is the world ready for 2 more Canadian teams? ;):p
I'd think StL might get the nod over V or M, but that's me. We'll see what happens next year there

Well, I am somewhat doubtful of those predictions, but Sportsnet News here in Canada was predicting that outcome for expansion, however, I'm having to side with the 2 Canadian predictions only because Vancouver and Montreal have fairly strong soccer markets in the USL.
But like you said, we'll just have to wait and see what happens. :P

Even though I would like nothing more then a MLS team in Philly. And will support them like I would the Birds. I can't help but think that massive expansion could be the undoing of a league that (I realize is doing better) doesn't make money.

Seattle!!! They should definitely become an MLS team. They have won 2 championships in the last three years. :D
