What's this I'm reading from The Guardian?:

Grudge match
In the Far East there were rumblings of a feud between the old boys - Marcel Desailly et al - and the juniors, with David Trezeguet's a particularly dissonant voice. Then there were accusations that Desailly was even picking the team rather than the then coach Roger Lemerre.

What happened?

It doesn't really matter as a good coach would have imposed himself enough for that not to happen.

The French national team has always had "alleged" disputes. When Jacques Santini was giving his last interview has French coach he was asked if anyone of his players got into a confrontation he said yes Thierry Henry and Robert clashed heads. But after that interview, Thierry came out and said that he and Robert had a disagreement and it finished where it had started. Nothin more nothin less.

I just read about the fued again, though, all they said was

"Marcel Desailly, France

If he hadn't played so well here, his most meaningful contribution to the tournament would have been that training-ground hissy fit involving David Trezeguet."

My curiousty is back, so again, what happened?

*I have been checking google far too long for this without anything. so please..
