Its been confirmed on the official site (http://evertonfc.com/news/archive/40236/arteta-setback.html) that Arteta has had to have another operation to clear up some infection in his knee.

No time-scale has been put on his return - though I'm guessing January at the very earliest

Bad, bad news, we have missed his creativity more than any player. Here's hoping to a speedy recovery Mikel.

Lets hope the other players can step it up in your enforced absence.

I wonder how well Arteta will bounce back from this.

From what I've seen, a lot of players out this long never seem to be quite the same when they return back to play.

So disappointed for him, he was in the form of his life before the injury and pushing for a Spain call up, I hope he bounces back, he so deserves to play for his country.

Anichibe is still crocked too, Moyes wouldn't put a timescale on his return which is a bad sign. He isn't in the same class as Arteta or Jags but his strength and hold up play would come in handy (we need all the fit players we can get at the moment!)
