I mean, I see lots of supporters around the world and they haven't been in the Premiership in years, correct.

So what's the reason why so many supporters are drawn to them? I know that Loftus Road is great stadium and the club is in London. But please gimme some insight. Why not another club?

Thanks.

I think there are a few things at work: first, many US based QPR fans became QPR fans when the R's were in the Prem 10 years ago (me included). QPR have had 2 US players (Roy Wegerle and Juergen Sommer). QPR has always played with a very entertaining and attacking and flowing style which I think helps contribute to the club's relatively large non-English popularity (large for a non-prem side certainly). QPR is also almost always the underdog, a "little" club (relatively speaking) with great and loyal support, who have done some great things over the yers but almost always underachieve a bit...call that the Chicago Cubs effect. ;) Mostly though QPR are just a really great, "proper" club (as Olly said last year), a real family club, with some of the most loyal supporters anywhere in the world.

And of course you cant forget the hoops.

And FYI Loftus Road is a total dump IMO, though in the sweetest of ways, it oozes character...sort of like the old Boston Garden was a total dump but I'd take it anyday over the new Fleet Center.
