Can't find the "English" button, I knew they were out to exclude the Anglos!!! ;)
Am I wrong in assuming that when they pick a city the "USA" will be dropped out of the name and replaced with "cityname" Chivas?

I'd say it's wrong to assume much of anything regarding this so-called expansion franchise.

So touchy.
Many Chicanos, Mexican Americans, and other Hispanics don't speak/read Spanish. It wouldn't be a completely wise move to design a website in Spanish and only Spanish. I'm sure an English version will be around eventually to appeal to all non-Spanish speaking people.

You can do one in english in the mean time, or until the team is actually a real Club in MLS.

It's good to know spanish. I will translate what the website says for all my friends in the world that speaks english.
"Very soon a place for the fans of Chivas in the United States."
"Add ChivaUSA.com to Favorites"
"For any comments, send your message to carbajal@chivasusa.com"
There you have it.....tell that guy to have the website in english too. Remember people will do things if you annoy them enough :) Also give any comments to make the website better.
Juan....haha back to you. You don't know japanese and i'm latino/hispanic. Anata wa baka desu.

They couldn't even bother to put some of that in English? Make it bi-lingual at the very least? This is still America and we still speak english here.

The more I think about it, the name should be "Chivas EEUU".
It looks cooler and makes it known Spanish is the official language of the club.

last time I checked America consists of North and South America, and english is just one of the languages spoken. I am not too crazy of the CHIVAS USA idea, I hope they don't call the team by that name. Los Angeles Chivas sounds better and more in line with American sports monikers.

Right, but this is the U.S. league, and this country's official language is English. You wouldn't go to Mexico and start a team to play in the Mexican league that spoke only English, and only offered their website in English, would you? Nothing wrong with having a Spanish language website, its definitely a good thing. But they need an English one as well. If they don't make one, that's just disrespectful to all non-Spanish speaking fans. Its like saying "we don't want your support." The whole point of teams in the US, a country whose predominate language is English, (yes, I know that a very large amount of people speak Spanish) making their sites available in more than one language is to appeal to those different sets of fans. For Chivas USA to not do that would be outrageously stupid. I don't think that will be the case though.

We definitely agree here.

Thanks for the info, fidlerre.
Guys, It's a bit ridiculous to get bent out of shape over a website whose sole piece of information is "Add this page to your favorites!"
And yeah, I'm also hoping it's called LA Chivas

When did English become the official language of the U.S.?
I must of missed that announcement.
