Message from BigSoccer All - We are asking all forum members to give us some feedback about the state of our forums. We would be grateful if you would take a few moments to vote in the poll, but more importantly post your thoughts about how things are going in this forum. Anything is fair game - the moderators, the quality of the discussion, the amount of traffic, the forum structure, etc. Voting is useful, but we are most interested in ways you think BigSoccer and specifically this forum can be improved -- what we are doing right or wrong, and your thoughts generally about your use of this forum.

Thank you for any feedback you can provide!

I've received some really valuable info in this forum. It was an absolute blast during the Tour de France.

I wish it were more active.

I was really excited when we were awarded a cycling forum. I honestly had no idea so many bikies were involved in BigSoccer in general so for us bike dorks to have a place to exchange ideas about a myriad of subjects is great. I also greatly appreciate the vibe in the forum especially amongst the regular posters. We have all shown how easy it is to disagree without getting pissy towards one another. As I've said on a few occasions, this is probably the most user friendly bike forum I've been apart of. In short this is infinitely easier to moderate than the club/country forums.

Hey, if you want, I can start cursing at people in an effort to spice things up a bit. I'm just saying... ;)

I hate this forum. When I started mountain biking a few years ago, I thought I was doing pretty good about learning the sport... and then this forum started. Now I realize I'm a dumb shit noob.

This forum sucks.

Let me ride the coat tails of Moishe on this one, as I agree 100% with him on what he stated above. Having previously been the mod of a much larger forum, it has been quite nice to move into something a bit more relaxed. :p

Anyway, a year on and I have to say that I am pleased with the traffic so far. Looking at the other NSR sports, we are not doing too bad. I think the more people find us, word will spread. And that goes with what Moishe said, without getting pissy, this has been a nice play to share ideas on our shared passion. I still consider myself a novice on a variety of bike topics and I quite enjoy the insight from other riders.

I am also sure we are open to ideas as to how to grow or improve this forum.

Thanks gang!

two things:

make the pro peloton news thread a sticky

make an "equipment only" sticky. this is were we can post questions, tips and reviews about the durable goods of cycling.

other than that, i am stoked with the relaxed nature of this forum. however, some spice would be great now and then.

Done on the Pro Peloton thread.
Done on the Equipment though it is with the components thread.
Last but not least for some spice:

Yes. This place is like an oasis of rational discussion.

Bikeforums.com is an absolute mess with their road nazis and guys who used to weigh 290 and now weigh 220 lecturing everyone about the rules of the road and determining who is a 'Fred.'

As for Big Soccer this and the coaches forums are about the only good spots at the moment (the Politics and Current Events spot is always a mess, but if you wander into a crack house, you are there for the crack and not the surroundings :) ). I want to love the US Nats spot, but as long as Bob Bradley and Michael Bradley are part of the National team and Gringo Torres, Kenny Cooper and Freddie Adu are not automatic starters it remains a hell hole.
