Any coverage on US TV in Enlgish for the CL 2004/5?
ESPN (US) doesn't seem to be covering the July /August Matches, at least. Will they be covering some as it progresses into the group games and on?
I don't believe FOX will be covering any at all. They would rather show year old EPL, MLS and Latin club games instead.
Maybe the best and most economic way is to watch the UEFA.com video action on the internet for $40 a year UEFA action pass plus $10 for a monthly broadband internet service, and I think a one time $10 payment for real player. UEFA.com It says they will have all game re-runs, not just goals and highlights with the action pass.

ESPN Deportes? But not everyone has it and I don't know when it will expand.

For the past few years ESPN didn't get into showing CL on TV in the USA until the quarterfinals, they are usually on ESPN2. Before that I don't know.

ESPN doesn't cover the July/August matches, because they don't own the rights. The rights of the quals are owned by the individual clubs, not UEFA, thus they can negotiate their own TV coverage overseas.
In the past, the quals have been on FSW, RTPi, RAI Intl., Star TV (Turkish), Setanta (for English and Scottish clubs). Even ESPN Latin America and ESPN International do not have the rights to the quals...
I think TV Romania International, MKTV (Macedonia) and RTS (Serbian) on Ku-band satellite may have some coverage. These channels usually carry the national teams, the domestic leagues and their clubs' journey in Europe, especially the UEFA Cup...
As a matter of fact, July/August is the best time for satellite hobbyists to do bird hunting for CL and UEFA Cup qualifying round games, especially hunting on those ethnic channels from Europe...

ESPN2 has been showing 1 game per matchday during the group stage. During the season that 911 happened (2001-02), they showed 2 games per matchday, 1 on ESPN and 1 on ESPN2, but in the middle of the season, cut the game on ESPN due to lack of interests...
On 911, a Tuesday, the CL games were still played in Europe that evening. UEFA explained that it's too late to cancel the games because the crowd had already been entering the stadiums. ESPN skipped the coverage of Roma x Real Madrid and covered the news in New York, yet ESPN Latin America and TSN in Canada still showed that game, in its entirety....
UEFA then postphoned all games on Wednesday, 9/12.

ESPN showed the 2nd half of Roma-RealM. I kept my TV on ESPN just in case. They were showing the feed from ABC News during first half and then switched to the match just as the 2nd half began.
