QPR Carling Cup draw -- Round 1

An interesting draw for Rangers in the first round of the Carling Cup as Rangers have drawn Swansea City at home (http://www.qpr.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~538552,00.html). Kenny Jackett will return to Loftus Road to face his old team (possibly with Dennis Oli, too, who is on a one-week trial with them (http://www.footymad.net/leagues/loadfnws.asp?id=165185&teamno=508)). The match is to be played during the week beginning August 23rd.

Here's hoping for nice Carling Cup and FA Cup runs this year -- we could sure use the cash.

i hope we have a good run too, altho i also hope it doesnt take away our focus on the league, where we really do HAVE to stay up

Good point. Hopefully we'll have a nice enough run in one/both of the cups to have some extra cash in hand to be able to bring in some quality when/if we lose someone to injury or someone we're counting on isn't getting the job done at this level.
