Umm...I have nothing to do with Africa, so I don't know how I'm taking the poll personally. But as for "nailing the favorites," yes, the favorites are in the poll.

But the point was that asking a poll about winning the 2006 WC, you would think that there would be an "other" option, or some of the bigger countries from Africa, Asia, and North America. As long as Mexico or the US should be in the poll (no disagreement from me, deckham, one Man Utd fan to another) why not Cameroon or Nigeria?

But I don't think that anyone was getting pissed off...just wondering where some other options were.

I know the thread is a stupid one and is probably a wind up but I'll say what I think.

The only non-European team I think can actually win is Brazil. The only other possibility at all is Argentina and I would have have to see some serious evidence from them that they are capable of coming to Europe and leaving with the trophy. This is because geography is important, the non0Euros will not benefir at all from it being held in Germany, just as the Euros didn't like Korea/Japan. And can you really see USA or Korea becoming only the 2nd winner of a WC outside of their continent?

Of the Europack, you have to include the usual suspects, I wouldn't rule out Germany, Italy, France, Holland. On the 2nd tier would be Portugal, Czech Republic, Greece and probably England.

I fancy the Germans to do very well and however poor they look, you always have the feeling they can do it, I wonder if Rehagel will be offered the job. If he was, I'd put money on the Germans.
