Douala would be a good signing, I liked the look of him when we played Sporting last year.
Very quick and pacy. Just what we need. But looking very unlikey that we will sign him.
Shame Geremi decided to go with the easy option and sit on Chelski's bench. :( :mad:

Deal not dead yet says Douala's agent.
Boro lodged a bid earlier this week believed to be £4 million, but Sporting want another £2 million.
Sporting are now looking to hand Douala a new contract and end any talk of a possible move.
However, Douala's agent Jorge Gama says that the move is not completely dead, contrary to some reports in Portugal.
"We do not have confidence in a quick solution for his exit," Gama told skysports.com.
"The money demanded by Sporting is very big for Boro but still the subject is not eliminated."
Sporting are now refusing to discuss Douala until after their midweek UEFA Champions League clash with Udinese.

We wont get him, he apparently has asked Sporting for a new contract. Just another transfer ******** up.

Word out of Portugal is that Sporting is ready to take the money. Looks like a coin toss right now. Douala just played a great game for sporting vs. Udinese yesterday... he'll be missed if he leaves us.

You guys will like Rochemback. He is a DM with a canon of a shot. If he can get his weight down, he will be a powerful force. I am glad that Sporting never parted with Douala, who 'Boro was hot after. IMO, he is more of a player than Rocha is...

Yeah, his FK against Feyenoord last season in the UEFA Cup was outstanding...
I think he'll play more advanced than a DMC imo.
