Foxboro stadium: no tenant. Good place for an SSS.
Mile High Stadium: no tenant. Another good place for an SSS.
Why not?

Why not? Because they've both been torn down.

The Polo Grounds would be a great place for a SSS! Why not?

You know, Braves Field would make a great soccer stadium.
Oh wait, it is a soccer stadium.

Now it's where the Boston Breakers play.
You may know it as Nickerson Field.

What went in their place?
Point was that they would be good locations for two SSS's. As I recall, Don Garber stated the goal of MLS was to have each team with their own SSS. Uncle Phil would have a stadium for his Rapids and the Krafts would have an intimate stadium for their Revs.
Obviously, these two teams will have to wait and continue playing in oversized helmetball stadiums, not to say that their current homes are slop.

Damn! Look at that huge outfield! I guess they used to play polo there, as well as baseball. :)

Actually, the new stadiums are very close to the old ones, it's more just a reshuffling of the layout of the stadium areas.
Parking lot replaced by new stadium, old stadium replaced by new parking lot.
BTW: Both of these new stadiums are very nice. I like Invesco more though. However, I liked foxboro better than old mile high.

I wish I had known that, being a Braves fan, I would have liked to have visited it when I was in Boston.
