Somebody had to start this thread..... :) In all truthfulness, I have only seen him play in spots, but I have been impressed with his strong finishing ability, dribbling skills, and workrate. Is this guy a legitimate prospect for the nats?

Somebody had to start this thread. Looking at his performance this weekend surely suggests that he might soon be on BA's radar if he isn't already. I especially liked his dribbling/attacking the goal. We need more of those types. However, with so many guys on the fringe, no one has really laid claim to a forward's spot except for McBride. So maybe he'll get a chance.

Maybe a KC fan can give us a rundown on this guy and his potential.

Let's let Davy play this season for the Wizards. In the past he was 100% workrate, but he's actually showing some technical skill and tactical awareness this season.

He's a striker on a hot streak, but let's see if he continues through the summer before sending his cell number to Bruce.

He's the best American striker in MLS without a callup. This thread was inevitable, just as the Dempsey threads are inevitable.

I wonder if he keeps his starting job when the Wizards get healthier...

Preki isn't a forward
Igor isn't going to get better this season

I like Matt Taylor as well. Explosive, powerful, and a good finisher. You guys have three really good forwards who all need playing time. That pretty much puts Igor out of the loop.

Davy seems to really be much more efficient in applying pressure all over the field this year. He has always been an honest athlete that has given himself to Gansler's 2 way play, but he anticipates so much better this year. I don't know if he's USMNT ready when it comes to ball skill or finishing (though his confidence is obviously shooting through the roof) but he has better fitness and consistent pace for 90 minutes than any USMNT player I can think of (including Hejduk and Beasley). Reason number 1 for the Wizards unbeaten 5 game road trip in 14 days.

Ya, why would you want a striker on a hot streak on your bench?!??!?!

It would be exciting and wild beyond belief for me to see Davy in a US shirt.

However, as much as he has earned it, i jsut dont see it happening soon. If I'm Bruce, i wait a little while and see how he maintains his level of play, and based on his performaces then, i call him in for a camp or two.

I think the biggest obstacle to Arnaud getting a call-up is Josh Wolff. In Arena's system they both are striker types, as opposed to target forwards, and Wolff has Nats experience on his side.

Yet they seem to be making a good partnership playing together for Kansas City.

I do see what you're saying, but I'm guessing if they are knocking in goals, Bruce would find a way to play them together.
