If you were riding the CTA Brown Line between 5 and 6:30, you may have seen some guys practicing on Moody Bible institute's pitch. That was the US National team. See photos at

Looks like Mathis lost the gut. All along I thought the only thing they did in Germany was drink.
I wonder if Gaven is pissing himself that he is with the Nats?

btw. Practices are closed to the public, but if you want to hang around outside with binoculars..its a chain link fence. Chase after the occasional scuffed Nike that clears the fence, perhaps.
It's either that or ride the Brown Line a few zillion times between the Sedgewick and Chicago stations. :)
As to why Moody Bible College's field is being used instead of...oh UIC's pitch, I don't know. But it's a nice field.

I have no idea if this has anything to do with anything, but one of the two major pre-NBA draft camps is also held at Moody Bible Institute. Maybe the institute is generally friendly to the presence of professional (or soon-to-be professional) athletes.

That is impressive how Bocanegra seemingly juggled the ball both in and out of the port-a-potty. We miss him.
Mathis needs a new hairstyle.

UIC's pitch is quite nice. They should use it because it is a Division 1 soccer field so it is pretty well kept. there is also a running track around the athletic complex too. maybe..just a thought.

Moody Bible's location is absolutely premium and they tend to keep the whole campus in pristine condition.
The field they're practicing on at MBI is likely to be in better shape than the one they're gonna play on at Soldier Field.
