With Greece winning the European championship, Porto the Champions League, and Once Caldas the Libertadores Cup, can anyone else remember a single year with greater upsets in major tournaments. It seems this has been a great year for parity, as club teams from quality but not premier leagues took the professional continental championships, and an organized, tactically sound, and opportunisitc Greek team took the Euro championship (playing in a style very similar to Once Caldas here in Colombia)

Also must be the year of undersized, athletic goalkeepers, as all three teams you mentioned had them.

It would seem to be the time to put down some money on Costa Rica and Venezuela winning Copa America. Could we go 4-4 in major upsets in the 4 top competitions this year?
