I don't know much about Basinas. Smicer strikes me as being a good player for Pompey to pick up.

Very excited about the possibility of Basinas. I was impressed with him at the tournament.

And off-topic, but I noticed prk166's sig. Denmark had three wins in their group in the 1986 World Cup. And, not to take anything away from Denmark, but it was an eight team tournament. Greece beat the hosts (twice), the defending champs, and the favourites.

It seems they're really closing in on Besinas now, with Mandaric himself going to negotiate with Panathinaikos. I haven't heard anything about the Smicer thing.
