The history of our querida patria is fascinating. Who do you consider to be the most fascinating character in our colorful history?

I think it is Rosas. People love him or hate him, there is no middle ground, but regardless of our feelings for him, there is no denying that he was a great leader and a true Argentine gaucho and caudillo, and I think for better or for worse he is the one who shaped Argentina as the nation that it became.

i have to go with a guy who opposed him, sarmiento... not popular when he was president, but he lived a fascinating life. he was also really pro america, and was influential in the education system. i had to write a really long term paper on him last year, so over time i guess he became the most interesting to me...it happens when you study a guy so much i guess
