I HAVE TO GET THIS OFF MY CHEST AND I HOPE EVERYONE READS THIS.
so lately ive been watching some world cup highlights like the US Vs Italy game and a couple from the 2002 and 2006 world cup and i have to say if we are to have any chance against good teams.
we gonna have to start the young guys/blazing speed (ex. Mosky)
i was watching some of the highlights and i was amazed of the speed of the game and the intensity of the world cup. maybe i just forgot.
and i was telling myself wow how would a guy like pavon or amado match up with some of the players from a team like Germany. We would get demolished ..as much as i like Pavon and i know hes done alot for us and i thank him for that i dont think he should start the game, i would like him coming in as a fresh sub though. He is 36 and his legs arent what they used to be. Same thing can be said with Amado Or danilo .
POINT IM Trying to make IS
I KNOW experience counts But think we would have a better chance of this kind of a lineup of maybe going 1-4-5-1 ??
Noel
Boniek---------Osman-----Maynor -----Izaguirre
- Hendry - - Wilson
Mosky ----------Rambo ------Nunez
Suazo

I was just thinking of starting a thread on this :D
Yeah i completely agree with what you said the world cup will be fast football so we should bring some younger players. But to be fair to Pavon i dont think he has lost that much speed, i mean remember against mexico when Salcido (one of best in concacaf) got sent of for sliding Pavon when he ran past him and started of way behind.

Yeah i remember i think we all know Pavon still has that speed in him but can he really be a 90 minute player in the WC? i would like him coming in a sub

Everyone in the WC "crece" in a sense that everyone brings their A game and plays till death every game even if you lost 0-3.
I am not really worry about how Honduras will do....am worried about Honduras not getting a decent 6 friendlies before the WC.
Also Pavon needs to ride bench don't care who we face. I honestly KNOW that pavon would be a better sub then starter and I have the biggest feeling RUeda is going to commit that stupid error and start him.
Also you system is a 1-4-2-3-1 system and it might work if we at least get a friendlies and try it out...
also Bonieck sucks Saballion will be way better then him! shoot! he would probably play like in the Olympico.

Bonieck is better defensively than Sabillon. Sabillon is nice going forward, but in the WC we gotta go defense first. Morover, Bonieck has better pace and tackle than Sabillon defensively. Lastly, Bonieck is not bad going forward too.
It wasn't only vs Mexico. Watch Sabillon vs USA, he could not keep a handle on Donovan--and I suspect there will be better offensive players at the WC than Donovan.
One thing in his favor though, is that in Mexico what happened is that the combo of Turcios and him on the right was toxic, Turcios was not exerting the offensive pressure (that would have made Salcido think twice about going up) that say Alvarez. Since we will have Alvarez in there (who is not a tackler by nature) we would need to sure up the defense.
In any case it is good that we can debate about who to place at right back, relative to the level of Honduran football (which is pretty mediocre) they are both quality.

^^^ Bonieck has tricky feet :D and a good quickly speed but his game in the Assteca killed me! on how bad he can be....:(.
Also yeah i remember the USA game Saballion was bad...

i like Bonieks speed and physicality
thats the thing with Sabillon though who knows if he can play well outside the olimpico?
can we afford that? . I say we try Sabillon in the friendlies outside Honduras and see how he does. And while i think Boniek is going to be playing with wigan in january at least i hope lol

This is a very interesting topic i think because we have like 6-7 guys that can play well in this position but the problem is knowin WHO will play well.
We seen Maynor play well at times and bad at time (USA Game),
We havent seen much of muma lately but i like him.
Sabillon, i like his presense but he is a question mark playing outside of Honduras is it the nerves getting to him ? or trying to do to much? who knows..
Jonny Palacios We are overlooking him way to much,i like his grit and passion and is only 22, i think he should get some starts in friendly
EMILIO IZAGUIRRE MY FAVORITE GUY IN DEFENSE . I THINK THIS GUY HANDS DOWN IS A LOCK AT RIGHT BACK. I LIKE THE GUY HE DEFENDS AND ATTACKS WHEN HE HAS TO.
LA H, were you really leaving him out the starting 11 ? lol

Well the whole defence debate who plays etc Can me made alot easier when we see what teams we get put in with because after all diffrent players may suite diffrent teams. So thats why its is imperative we choose the rights players. Lucky i think we have losts of options in terms of players to take.
Yeah i remember i think we all know Pavon still has that speed in him but can he really be a 90 minute player in the WC? i would like him coming in a sub
I get what you mean completely but who would you bring ?

he didn't get benched. he couldn't play cuz of yellow so Rueda had no choice but to start Johnny Palacios since Muma was hurt or otherwise. it woulda been Muma and Norales in the back. I think Johnny did a great job int he back against La Selecta. first game in San Salvador. kid did a great job. he has a bright future ahead of him.

we need 3 goalkeepers [fifa regulation]
noel
sabillon
muma
chavez
figueroa
hendry or amado
palacios
rambo [on the left]
alvarez [on the right]
costly
suazo
if this were the actual line-up for the 1st game without pavon, amado or danilo ..i think the captain would be noel or rambo
i want rueda to experiment with muma bernardez & osman in the back ..both of them look lethal
i hope sergio mendoza gets a spot in the final roster [i heard he's goin 2 start playin' again]
but its very early to be sayin' who's goin' to be in the final roster ..do ya'll know about the famous injuries b4 wc's????? it happens to the best & it could happen to 1 of ours
