If it's not inedit is at teast rare the opening match will be the same as the final! Now the portuguese players are not gonna be caught by surprise and will be highlly motivated for the revenge! Tell us you thoughts about the final who's gonna win?

I am rooting for the Greeks but I wouldn't mind either team winning it.
How crazy would it be if these two met for the Olympic Championship in a few months as well? :D

Not that I care personally, but maybe you should change the title of the post for the simple people who have taped the Greece - CRep game? :)
The [R] there is, in conjunction, highly amusing :)

I'm not sure. But I think this thread title might give away the score of the earlier match.

this is a really hard one to call.
i'll go with portugal though, they played nice aggressive soccer against the dutch and with their midfield they can do some damage to the Greek defense.
but who knows, this tourney has been full of surprises.

You do realize that you gave away the winner of Greece v Czech Republic with your thread title, right?

Portugal will be HUGE favorites. Therefore, Greece will probably win.
I wouldn't mind seeing Greece win either . . . . pretty crazy tournament. Either way, I'm glad to see somebody other than England, France, Italy and Germany in the finals.

When has ever England been in the finals?? A world cup in 66.. The rest is flop like some others.. Only publicity and visibility..

It's going to be such a great match. Ending it like we started it, except Portugal takes the win. Coming into this game, Portugal has a different mindset then the Greeks I think. Partially because they've already lost to them, but also because I think Portugal wants it more. This is such an amazing Euro 2004 and I can't wait to watch the finals on sunday. Go Portugal Go.

Agreed. I like Greece's chances. My friend's brother (who is greek) just called and we put him on speaker phone...sounds like the invasion of Troy overthere. people screaming, horns sounding! wow. :D

You've gotta be a little bit kidding, right? To see a thread title that says the finals are Portugal v. Greece, and then a little R next to it so they know that if they come in, they might find out who Portugal is playing in the finals? :)
I mean, I'm the biggest advocate of getting rid of the whole R thing...it doesn't work, nobody expects it to work, someone invariably doesn't follow it, everyone gets mad, and it's so much easier just not to sign on in the first place if u don't want the score (for that matter, u may want to avoid the internet entirely).
But given that the system is in place...how much did that R really help? :)

Exactly, what if tommorow we change the name of this thread to reflect the actual temas in the finals and someone still hasn't seen the game yet?? The whole R system doesn't work here.

Portugal's performance in the final will be oscar worthy. I expect them to sweep the Academy Awards next year.

Four, including two by Russia. Portugal already scored against Greece.
I think Portgual has the advantage for this one psychologically. In the first game, they played about as poorly as I've ever seen against Greece. Greece, by contrast, played out of their minds that game. And still the final score was 2-1. Since then, Portugal ahve been improving with every game. Greece have been excellent too, but their last two opponents have underestimated them. Portugal won't. They'll be ready. It may be a difficult game; I foresee Greece playing very defensively and trying to prevent Portugal from going forward and being creative. Although that may not be a good spectacle, it should be interesting from a tactical point of view.

Hard to pick this one...
Portugal by far better on paper, but that doesnt really count for anything here.
