What happened to Nedved? Was he hacked out of the game?

Where was Marek Heinz?
The Czechs, in a game over 105 minutes, used all of ONE substitution, and that in the 40th minute because of injury. Just stupid.

Nedved was injured and couldn't continue. He was replaced by V. Smicer.

I expect to see a lot of posts saying that Greece didn't "deserve to win". This is of course rubbish. Greece deserved to win, since they scored more goals than the Czechs.
Pretty boring match though. Too bad about Nedved.

I can't imagine the celebrations when the team arrives back in athens..It's simply what is written on the greek team bus:in ancient Greece there were 12 gods.In modern there are 11.Go Elladaraaaa

More like hacked himself out of the game. Nedved kicked a Greek player and injured his own knee.

Who do you suggest he should have taken off? I was thinking the same thing during the match, but I realized the he was best off sticking with the team on the pitch.
Your not going to take out Barros or Koller because they were still their best chance to score. Rosicky and Poborsky were there two most creative players and I wouldn't have taken either of them off either. If you take off Galasek your defense becomes very vunerable. Perhaps Smicer should have come off, but you don't often see a substitute substituted.
