Don't pass him the ball. If everyone on the team does this, hopefully he will get the message. If not, throw a potato sack over him and $*#&%*(&%($. :eek:

These types are the same ones that make a bad pass and blames you for not getting it and then when he receives a bad pass, he blames you also.

i have one of them on my team he also calls every1 crap n shout at them which in turn gets there confidence down is there anything i can do bout this?

i no wot u mean i no 2 players like that who can be quite cool off the pitch but on it they are complete f***ers,all they do is hog it and only once in while it cums off where as other players who r much better then them they av a rite go @ even wen its practically passed 2 their feet.

You just have to ice them out, don't pass them the ball unless it is the ONLY tactical option

Tell him to pass the ball or not to hold onto it for so long... if he doesn't listen then do as the others have said in this post and don't pass to him. They're a pain in the ass but if ya don't tell 'em anything, they'll never learn!

Interesting topic. My son's team has just had some player turnover. One of the new players is a ball hog who has a history of not taking direction well.

Hopefully he will learn to play team ball and not be a disruptive influence.

its hard to freeze the guy out like you all suggested when everyone is terrified of the kid and are literally on his d***, including the coach. Whenever he gets the ball on his feet and you make a run, he will hold and hold the ball for an inane amount of time and then try to dribble through the entire team. What should i do?
