Tim Howard was named to the US Roster for the July 11 match vs. Poland at Chicago's Soldier Field.

As a Chicagoan I invite any Man U fans in Chicago to come out and support thier Keeper, the US and their adopted hometown (as the Fire take on the Rev's after the US game.)

Maybe I am biased, but why does Tim Howard not get regular action for US National Team? I know they have Keller and Friedel, but Howard is obviously the going to be a big part of the future for the USMNT. I think he is the best keeper the US has.

Mostly because he has very limited experience internationally. I would think that Freidel will be the #1 for the US in WC '06 with Keller backing him up, with Howard taking over the job following that tournament.

Timmy's time will come, just not right now.

You usually see young keepers get a shot when the number 1 and 2 keepers are crap. Since keepers don't really peak until their 30's, Howard has plenty of time to gain experience and earn the No. 1 shirt for the US soon enough...
