Bordeaux slump to second defeat in a row (http://www.fcbayern.t-home.de/en/news/news/2009/21107.php)
Hoeness hails Diarra's progress :D
"If somebody had told me this five years ago and bet on it with me, I would have lost a fortune," he told the Bild newspaper. "For me, that is like the seventh wonder of the world that he is captain of this team and even plays for the national team."

Any news on Robben's fitness? I hope he can make it for this match. If so I would like to see the 4-3-3 make a comeback.
---------------Butt-----------------
Lahm---vBuyten---Badstuber---Braafheid
------------Tymoschuk-----------------
-------vBommel---Schweini------------
Mueller--------Toni------------Robben
If he's not fit to start we should play a 4-4-2 as we did on Saturday, and switch to the above 4-3-3 for the second half with Robben.

I would agree with you last statement, especially as we are away and not playing at the Allianz.
Change to the 3 forwards when needed.

Robben stays in Munich, Demichelis returns, Braafheid is doubtful

I'd rather not risk him...
We can play the formation we played vs Freiburg.

Depends on what part of the news you focused on... I personally am overjoyed to see Demichelis back!!! :D
Time to prove his naysayers wrong!

---------------MvB-----------------
--------Tymo----Schweini------------
-------------Mueller-----------------
-------Klose-----------Toni---------
3 Pts baby :D

I agree with steelshot. Given who is fit, that is the most likely line-up.

Yea, this seems like the line up. I'd be fine with a draw, but we could be catching Bordeaux at a slumping time. A road win would distance ourselves from the pack enough so that if we don't collapse at home we'd be through.
If it wasn't a road game in which a draw would suffice I'd say Sosa instead of Tymo. Hopefully, we can possess so much we frustrate the hell out of them and then get a lucky goal off a deflection or set piece. With our likely line-up we'll have the creativity of a retarded elephant.
Illogical optimism prevails: 1-0 Bayern

I think you might be right about catching Bordeaux out of form. Gourcuff is vital to their game and he is not at 100%.
However, since I'm selfish and have tickets to the return match in Munich on November 3rd, I hope Bayern draws or loses this match in Bordeaux. :D

I think you guys have a better chance than that. And I'm not one who believes in this "get a draw on the road" stuff.
Play to win every match.
I think Bayern plays to win, but it still winds up 1-1.

Left-back Edson Braafheid was a late withdrawal with a tight hamstring. Danijel Pranjic could take over from the Dutch defender, or Lahm might switch flanks, with Hamit Altintop tipped for a chance to prove himself at right-back.
Van Gaal indicated that, with the exception of Braafheid’s position, he was unlikely to make any further changes to the line-up. That would mean a repeat of the 4-4-2 formation which brought a 2-1 win in Freiburg at the weekend. “I see no reason to change it,” the boss commented. In that case, Toni and Klose would again lead the line, supported by Thomas Müller. “We’re going to Bordeaux on a roll after winning in Freiburg,” said the 20-year-old, “and I think we’ll win there too.”

I would relish the chance to see Ailtontop on the Right and Lahm on the Left!
...................Butt...................
Ailtontop...DVB.....Babs......Lahm
..................Tymo...................
..........MVB.........Schweini........
..................Müller..................
.............Klose......Toni............
Substitutions:
Ottl - Tymo
Gomez - Toni
Demichelis - ??? :)
