I'm thinking about getting RTPi when the SuperLiga starts again and need to ask anybody who has that channel a few questions.
How many games are shown each weak?
Is it usually or always games of the big 3, Benfica, Porto and Sporting?
Games are live or on tape delay?
If I'm capable of getting RAI, which I had, I should be able to get other international programming such as RTPi, right? Or do I need different equipment?
At 4.00 a month it sounds like a great deal but hopefully I dont have to get more equipment.

In the past, it was 2, 1 live, 1 delayed.

Yes.

I assume you are getting it from Dish Network.
On dish network, you must have a basic package before you can get RTPi. In other words, if you don't watch American programming at all, it still costs you $20+ for RTPi.

You need a 2nd dish pointing to 61.5W or 148W, plus a Echostar-proprietary switch to switch the signals between the main satellites (119W and 110W) and the ethnic satellites. Of course, if you pay $20+ but don't watch American programming at all, no one would force you to point a dish at the main birds.

Are you sure about having to carry another package? The reason I ask is I was looking into this recently and there is note on Dish Network's website that says "Customers who do not subscribe to DISH Latino, DISH Latino Dos, DISH Latino Max, America’s Top 60, America’s Top 120 or America’s Top 180 programming will be charged a $5.00 per month Service Access Fee."
Sounds like you can get just RTPi for $5 access fee plus $4 for the channel, per month.

Funny that you asked.
RTPi is the only channel in Dish Network that you can only get with another package. All other ethnic channels can be subscribe on its own, but not RTPi.

*Available with TV Globo International, Record International,America's Top 60 or higher, or DISH Latino or higher.
I just noticed they changed the requiremetns. Now you can get RTPi along with the Brazilian channels, TV Globo/Record Intl. A few years back, it had to be a programming package. Now, you can get Record Intl. for $14.99. It only costs $20 for both RTPi and Record Intl.

Where's the logic in that?
I was contemplating getting TV5, Radio France, RTPi, and RAI as a "package" but it sounds like I can't do that. :(

I used to have RTP...but for some reason is was a "tape delayed" version from Portugal. They showed a lot of Sporting and I think Porto games. I remember watching the Italy v. Portugal friendly live, but it was a RAI video.
I don't know if that will help ya much...
