Hey my English amigos. Michael Owen's handsomely finished goal was the top play on ESPN Sportscenter Top Ten Plays of the day. The hand of God was number six on worst 25 calls of all time too. :D
I know, small consolation for a crappy day, but hey, I thought you might like to know.

Hand of God was also on a list years back about the best nicknames for sports incidents (like Bobby Thompson's Shot Heard Round the World or Ali v Foreman's Rumble in the Jungle), I think it was like 5 on that list. I also saw Beckhams miss a few times on ESPN and wouldn't be surprised if it was on PTI.

Yeah ESPN has been running Sportscenter segments on Euro 2004 and had an extended segment for the England/Portugal match. Ricardo's save and penalty also made the top ten at number six. I would say ESPN's football coverage is getting better had they not moved half their Champions League matches to ESPN Deportes. Well at least they still show them.

You called it TxT. It was on PTI today and on Sportscenter again. I believe the comment was... "He missed it by five spice girls". I love Sportscenter.

Before they showed Ricardo's save, one of the announcers said, "On to Euro 2004." The other announcer said, "Oh no not this again."

Like I said, they've been doing Euro 2004 segments. That makes me very happy. I don't care if someone makes fun of the sport on Sportscenter. They make fun of a lot of stuff. I just care that they show highlights. That means they take it seriously. There's not a baseball, NFL, NBA, NHL, NASCAR highlight to be found on Sky Sports News. A service which all of my English pals say is better than ESPN... :)

Ah you guys are just being haters because you're football fans. I am too, but you know you'd be in love with ESPN if instead of "Sunday Night Football (NFL)" it was "Saturday Night Soccer". Their content may not always be what I like, but they are an awesome sports network.

Yeah I love Sports Center, and when soccer becomes more popular in America they will so more hightlights and talk about the sport more. I also like other sports other then soccer.
