I know its a ways off, but would all the guys on BS that also talk in here during the football season be interested in a fantasy football league? I'd be willing to run the deal (I've run leagues off Yahoo for years). If you're interested let me know and I'll get it up and going in early August.

I'll let you know..... I love football season but I've never been a big fan of fantasy leagues....... I would rather look at the big picture..... and teams than individual players. Just my preference.
Still......... I would love the bragging rights. :D

I'm sure you would. Thats why I'm going to draft your favorite teams QB, kick your ass, and then brag all week long about it. :)

If you're threatening to draft that redneck then I guess I'm in. My stomach is hurting just thinking that he might be on your team. :D

Head-to-Head or Points league?
Also Ben, do you just use the default for scoring points in Yahoo?
Is it QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, K, and Def?
I'm sure I could adjust to the rules, so it's not to big a deal either way. I'm game to play if enough people join up.
How many teams are you looking for?

I'll try it, if it is free, I have something against fantasy sports because it forces you to root against your favorite team in a way, but I'll ive it a whirl.

I just started a league for all of us in the hopes that no one had done it yet. I'll get the league ID number up soon.

OPArsenal:
I'll start the league. There's really no need to hurry this since the season starts 2 months from today. Also, I'll be PMing/emailing the league ID and password out. That way we can control who joins the league to make sure those that join are committed to keeping their team well run.
Everyone else:
I do not use the Yahoo default settings. I vary them a slight bit. My most notable changes are 1/2 point for a reception, added points for long field goals and added points for defensive plays. I don't use individual defensive players, just one team. I will get the league up and running soon. In my previous 5 years my league has been head to head with a playoff system, but I am totally open to going with overall points if that is what people would like. I like the "bragging rights" of head to head competition, so maybe a head to head competition where overall record decides the winner and total points is the tie braker?
I'll be holding a live draft, most likely on a weekend near the end of August. The draft will be live, but you can also rank your picks and the computer will make them automatically for you if you are unable to be at your computer. I'd like to have at least 8 in the league. As stated before, I only want serious players for this league. There's nothing I hate more than to put the time into setting up my team and then having someone stop working with their team 2 weeks in and becoming an easy win for who ever they're playing that week.

I checked out the calender. The live draft will be held, as of right now, August 28th (Saturday). If you can not be at a computer for the live draft, you need to pre-rank your desired players and the computer will do the drafting for you. As I said, I'll send out all the info privately after the league is set up.

Is there still room in the league? I'd be interested in joining. I've been playing fantasy football for a number of seasons. Thanks.

I had already joined OP's league. Please PM me the relevant info when the time comes.... (if you still have a spot open, etc.)
