Ok, looking for some sound advice from the regulars since I hear the metro stops pretty much close around midnight..
option 1) take Springfield metro up to Eastern Market exit, go to Mollys for a bit, then take metro to Stadium/Armory exit for tailgating, game, and then do the reverse.
option 2) drive up to the Eastern market area, and find parking (is there decent parking options around there?) and then metro to the game, etc.
Also, my guests will probably want to go check out some decent bars on tuesday night in the d.c. or alexandria area? any ideas

Isn't most of the street parking around Eastern restricted to 2 hours up until 8pm. It's been a while since I've parked there on a weekday.

For what its worth, me and crew from Richmond are doing option 1, except heading to the Pour House prior to tailgate. Springfield/Stankonia metro-Pour House-Lot 8-March to stadium...see ya if we see ya!

Just note PH opening at 4 pm (we originally were told they were opening at lunch but now they're not).

Thanks for the info K! Did not know that. Is Molly's the option if we get there prior to 4pm? Anyone?

I posted elsewhere, there are other bars and restaurants along 8th St SE where Molly's is. Molly's will be open for lunch if you want to hang there (or, we are a big city with tons of tourist attractions).
