A starting MLS goalkeeper working a second job at a sporting goods store? Ouch!

Not MLS related, but:

Thanks as always JMU and everyone else.
United might also restructure Perkins's contract. He earns only $850 per month as a developmental player and had to take a second job at a sporting goods store.
Gotta love MLS, although it's grating that in some ways we're not 'bigtime' in other sports like baseball you see guys wax poetic about cheap hotel rooms and taking jobs in the offseason to support themselves in the 'good ole days.' Out any of America's pro leagues these guys are still unique in that you can relate to them as beign real people trying to make a real wage and I appreciate that.

Rapids set to play all-Caribbean front line (http://www.denverpost.com/Stories/0,1413,36~94~2229225,00.html) - Denver Post

"It will be Major League Soccer history in the making Saturday at Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.

The Colorado Rapids (2-3-6, 12 points) will face Columbus (4-4-3, 15 points) with an all-Caribbean front line. Jean Philippe Peguero returns from his national team duty with Haiti to join Cuban Rey Angel Martinez."

I wonder if it was MLS history when the MetroStars started Fabian Taylor and Cornell Glenn up top earlier this year?

Beau, you're the fantasy soccer man. Any opinions on Troy Perkins? I think he's a buy as a back-up goalie. (I play MFLS).

On this date.....

2001 - Los Angeles' Luis Hernandez scores twice in one minute, in the 87th and 88th minute, to give the Galaxy a 2-0 win over the MetroStars at the Rose Bowl and make them the first MLS team to win 100 games in their lifetime.

Didn't Cornell Glen and Fabian Taylor start for the Metros earlier this year?
