The Stone Roses as #1? Hmm. I can see the reasons for Revolver ahead of Sgt Pepper, but The White Album at #6? Interesting poll nonetheless.

Wow...I'm a little shocked. Metal Box?? Blue Lines (I'd have chosen Mezzanine)?? I like!!!

There is NO WAY that Revolver is ahead of the White album.
I dont get why so many people make that call on lists.

This list is just stupid. Most critics try to be too cute by all always going against the norm. They like to be different even though it is totally off the wall.
Example:
25. Piper At The Gates Of Dawn, Pink Floyd
63. Dark Side Of The Moon, Pink Floyd
Come on now, I like 'Piper at the Gates of Dawn' but it is nowhere near as good as Dark Side. And where is 'The Wall' or 'Wish You Were Here'?

It's not bad - probably because the judging panel appears to be mostly musicians, not dorky critics trying to be cute. But 100 albums - including the likes of the frigging Streets and and no 'Different Class'? Forced to make the choice, I'd take that over What's the Story or even Parklife - two others of its place and time.

Any poll that lists Quadrophenia at 75 is bogus in my mind.

I think it wins out over the White Album by virtue of the bass line in the song Tax Man alone. :D

I'm just shocked that The Guardian didn't a Smiths' album in the Top 10.

I just knew OK Computer would end up ahead of The Bends. I don't understand why OK Computer gets all the love. I actually think The Bends is far superior!

Absolute CRAP.
Are you telling me The Cure Disintegration doesn't make the list while The La's come in at # 43.
ABSURD to the point of bending reality.

Neither list contained any of Wire's seminal albums, indicating that both lists suck.
