How is Zeppelin being "Old stuff" make you feel old? Zepp has been "old stuff" since 1990. You shouldve felt old then and REALLY old now ;)... ok that doesnt help.

u2 and guns n roses have been on classic rock stations for several years now... there's nothing new there (i can recall them being played on classic rock in the mid 90's)

led zeppelin has been on there since probably the late 80's

i'm beginning to hear nirvana and pearl jam on classic rock stations now

The standard rule applies - if you don't like an artist or a band, you're probably not the target audience. The industry has always packaged pop artists as being more "authentic" than they actually are, and stupid teenagers have always bought the not-that-authentic authentic artists, then eventually acquired some taste.

BTW, Avril has a nice pictorial in Nylon magazine... which is weird because that's the kind of stuff she bitches about on her songs, isn't it?

sadly, rock 103 out of Columbus, GA does exactly that.....on a daily basis.

I'm pretty sure I've heard early Pearl Jam (stuff off of Ten) on Rock 99 (classic rock) in Birmingham. Hate to bust your bubble :D

Amen brother. I'm trying to get my kids (13 and 16) to listen to internet radio or at least college radio in order to hear music they haven't heard before. So far so good. :)
