Good point :)
I kept an eye on Russia's Izmailov. Number "7". He is talented.
Unfortunaylt, many sites didn't inculded his name in the expected squad for Russia in today's game against Greece. Still don't know why! am sure it's not about suspension or the coach decided sideline him, not injured too.

I don't see what's so special about those German guys, apart from Lahm, who's been consistent. Kuranyi is so average, if he's gonna be their main striker they will struggle.
Milan Baros from the Czech Republic has looked good. Antonio Cassano looked brilliant against Sweden. Spain has a very young team, and if Fernando Torres and Xabi Alonso are given more chances they could well show how good they really are.

Italy: Cassano but the most talented is at home, Gilardino...

This might stretch the notion of young, but 24 year-old Maris Verpakovskis was a huge revelation for me during the Germany - Latvia match. If you didn't watch the game, make a point to see some of his runs. I'd imagine Dynamo Kiev will have a hard time keeping him after the tournament is over.

Ive thought that Rooney, Ronaldo, Joaquin and Robbin have been the best youngsters so far.
What happened to Van Der Vart? Ive heard people on these boards saying hes amazing, but i thought he was very average.

True, Van der Vaart has been very disappointing in the German game. He only played alittle in the Czech game. Don't expect him to start against the Latvians, Seedorf looks like he has locked up a starting spot with his great performance against the Czechs.
I also feel Fernando Torres has been horrible in this tournament. His finishing has really let him down. Both in the Russia game and today's game.

Verpakovskis alos impressed me, but I was too lazy to look his age and I cannot spell his name. Since he is 24 years old, we should also consider Pirlo who is not much older.
Torres was unimpressive. He did not live up to pre-tournament hype.
For the Germans, I agreed tha Kuranyi was not so good.... I put im up there because his performance against Stam, but played poorly against Latvia. I still think Schweinteiger was good.

although only playing one game, sneijder and van der vaart dissappointed. both have been very inconsistent this yr, but a lil less so for the national team. every 5 games expect 4 crappy ones then 1 magnificent one. robben and heitinga are the only young boys on the team who will be consistent.

Robben was amazing he was fun to watch and Heitinga poor Heitinga it was so unfair that he got sent off he's pretty solid. I thought Sneijder played well in the German game. Right now Van der Vaart looks very overrated but I can't help but think maybe its tactics??? I still think he's gonna be good but he looks like nothing now

Robben looked outstanding, can't wait to see him in Chelsea blue..Mourinho might actually leave him in for the full 90 after he plays brilliantly..stupid Advocaat....Torres really has not impressed, I know his track record is good, but today with his big chance, he failed to produce. Rooney and Ronaldo are obvious studs, and Verpakovskis is definitely someone I think you'll see playing at a bigger club next season.

he was great then started declining the end of last yr i think, but this yr he sucked. ajax will be better without him as he had no signs of changing there, i bet he does well when he goes tho.

Prso has looked pretty good, but he did not even get called up regularly till he was 28 I believe...he will be a nice addition at Rangers though. Schweinsteiger is young..and showed some flash in the first match, but really he has not made much happen and has done a lot of dumb things. Sure he will be good, but the guys you are listing him with have all done far more.

Definitely Cassano for Italy. If Trap had given him more of a chance and if Italy played a different style, he can do a ton of damage. He barely has played at all in a defensive system and already has scored. If Italy scores at all against Bulgaria tomorrow, I have no doubt Cassano will add at least another.
