Hello

Anyone know how they are doing the next four days
on pay per view (the last group match days).

The two matches will start at same time, so
will they show one after another (in that case,
which one they show first?), or have two diff.
channels for each at same time?...

Thanks.

2 diferent channels at the same time. The reason they are on at the same time is so the teams play for a win no matter what. If they were at different times the teams in the later games would have the advantage because they would know what result they needed in order to advance.

They've always been putting the games on two different channels. If you pay $20 for a game you get one game, not two. I say that for DISH anyway.

DirecTV won't be different, but you might at least get a replay later in the day if for some reason you wanted to buy both games.

On cable (In-Demand), it'll be one game live and the other one on tape delay at 5 pm (EST). Crazy that for $179, they wouldn't even free a slot on another PPV channel.

The good thing is FSW will be showing the alternate game live for groups B and C, so really the only 2 games that won't be available live at all for cable subscribers are Russia-Greece and Holland-Latvia.

Dish network has no replays. :(

You'd think for $179 they'd give us a replay so we can watch both matches instead of making us choose which one to watch.

Onca again, a failure of UEFA, Setanta, and the cable and satelite industry to offer a decent product for the outrageous price we're paying. And they say US is the country where the costumer's always right... Yeah... right!!!

I've got two TVs with DirecTV up and running in the living room. Just as I do in college football season....where I ocassionally have three. Sensory overload...

You would think we'd see replays for those who can't catch it live... but, in this case you'll know the result of the other match by the time that the one you are watching ends, so it would be pretty boring to watch the other match. FSW will replay Switz v France and Denmark v Croatia later at night on Monday and Tuesday besides the live showing.

In Germany they show it on 2 free channels and every goal when shot they switch over to the other game.

I think it`s a good solution.

Digital cable shows one game live..while the other is shown at 5. It was hard to watch the second game today, after I knew the result though and witnessed all three goals in the original game. BBC flipped over and had a clip of each goal from the other game.

The last matchdays of the group stage are supposed to be watched SIMULTANEOUSLY, on ***TWO TVS****. It's not supposed to be watched one followed by another on wimpy replays.

Even if you can't watch it live simultaneously, at least tape the two games on two tapes, play the two games from two VCRs on two TVs. It's next to impossible to avoid the score of the other games when you are watching one. It's also lame to avoid knowing the score of the other game, because the score of the other game dictates the tactics and the urgency of the game you are watching.

I beleive if you feel strongly enough about this then just email your complaints to Setanta directly.
The more complaints the better and maybe we can get it changed for next time. www.setanta.com

I am highly upset about this PPV crap!!!

We all cried to have the option (Cablevision at least) to buy the matches. Many of us had heard if we buy the package deal, we would get pre and post game shows, interviews, and replys of the matches. An actual value for our $180 bucks!!!

So far, I have seen very few interviews, NO REPLYS of matches, and biased shows with mostly English (w/exception to the Great Dane) host talking mostly about England while the match they are commentating gets a few seconds.

The matches that have started at 1200pm (US Eastern time) have been coming on PPV right as the match starts. No talk, no line up info! What kind of crap is this!!!!! Then, btw the matches (2pm to 245pm) they don't show any pre or post game talks. Just, "Next showing in 20 minutes"!

I am highly upset that I decided to purchase the package. It truly is not worth what we are paying for. Plus, my signal is coming thru soooo S**ty! When FSW plays the matches, it's perfect but Setanta's signal is horrible.

I bought a brand new 50 LCD HDTV Hitachi since I could not make the games in person. I have watched many a sporting event and have not had such a horrible signal as Setanta's.

Anyhow, had to get this off my chest!

And how is this????

DO NOT USE THE QUOTES PLEASE IF I NEVER SAID SUCH THINGS. I would rather you just say it yourself if you feel this way about my post! That is dissrespectful....

If I have a problem with something, it is my right to write about it. This is after all, a forum! Good or bad....

Ahh, but you certainly did gripe, moan, and bitch.

So stop griping, moaning, and bitching, at least on this particular thread, about the particular things you were griping, moaning, and bitching about.

The griping, moaning, and bitching thread you are looking for is here:
"How do you like Setanta?"

If you hurry up you can be reply #127, don't wait too long ...

Or better yet, setanta.us@setanta.com

Dish Network has replays scheduled for both Italy v Bulgaria and Denmark v Sweden at 6 eastern, 3 pacific tomorrow and for every Euro 2004 game from now on. They've finally got a clue. Kind of late, but better than never.

Really? Are they showing one game on tape delay or replaying both games?

Good news man, you should have posted a new thread about this. I think a lot of dish viewers are thankful. I didn't see the replay from the schedule on tv screen though, but it does appear on the new schedule could be dl online.
Anyway, here is the link
