I'm starting to hate Gomez with a passion. When will he shut the F up? What a moron!
He's one of those cats that blames everyone else except for himself, isn't he?!

I think people need to calm down on the Gomez situation. Most of these "comments" are the result of questions from the press that are intended to provoke such a statement. It would be much better if the papers would publish the interviewer's questions, and not just the player's statements... then again how would they ever sell their trashy tabloids without shocking statements from FC Hollywood?

Plus they only take the sentences they want to use. I read an interview with him from a couple days ago and he sounded perfectly reasonable, but of course they only publish statements that sound whiny and ridiculous on their own, out of context.

However it's worrying that players (probably the usual suspects, one of our wannabe captains) are leaking inside information to the tabloids. Everyone knows those papers are going to have a field day. Gomez is not everybody's darling like a young Podolski. The crowd is quickly going to lose patience with him if he doesn't perform soon while fan favorites like Toni or Klose are sitting on the bench. The fan's reaction to Toni coming to replace Gomez against Oberhausen was pretty clear.

I haven't always had the most positive things to say about Luca Toni, but this season he is really earning a lot of respect. How many WC winners who have the status and proven record like Toni, would ask the coach to send them to Bayern II to gain match fitness? When Toni responded to the news that we bought Olic and Gomez this past summer by saying he would fight for his spot he really meant it.
I would not be surprised if he takes over as first choice when fully fit.

^^^ If the price is right, Luca is earning far more than 99% of Bundesliga players and probably 90% of EUropean footballers.
The steady paycheck is the motivation here even if he plays for the reserves

I think it's best if people stop paying attention to papers nowadays. They are fun to read, nothing more. If they were true, Ribery would be with Robben at Real Madrid now and we would have VDV, Sneijder and 25m euros in our team.
I agree Gomez needs to step, but he needs to start games. He is not an impact sub, this has been clear for a while. If Olic starts vs Juve, I'm not optimistic we're going to win.

I think people should use their brains to decipher the bullshit from what is fact.
Your comments are true of the media in general, not just the football media.
I think one of the biggest problems we have with society in general is that too many simply believe anything they are told by those they choose to believe, no matter how silly or outrageous those people might be.
I think people need take more personal responsibility and find out for themselves what is fact and what is fiction instead of just simply believing what they are told by their chosen source of information.
In today's age, there's just no excuse for not being able to find facts.

Just like anyone else, Gomez needs to EARN the right to start. I admire LvG for not starting someone just because of how much they cost.
This is the shit I warned you about before you guys bought Gomez.
However, unlike Podolski, I think Gomez has the courage and desire to make it.
He'll be OK. He just needs to adjust.

I think ol' Gerd got a bit overzealous in his support of the new kid.
I agree with his assessment of the new Müller, but he didn't have to slam the others to do it.
I liked Löw's reaction. Instead of just firing off, he showed the respect Gerd Müller deserves even if he was mostly talking through his ass. LOL!! :D

Could we discuss exactly what type of pie you're referring to? Might be worth the effort depending upon the pie....;):D
