I don't know about you, but do the Italians ALWAYS complain on everything? It's ridiculous! The swedish players thought the same today when they heard the italian complaints. Swedish coach said that Sweden is going for a win vs Denmark. There will be no fixed match.

Funny thing is, if the situation was the other way around, you just know that that Italians would go for the draw. It's only a disgrace if two other teams do it, if they do it themselves, it's called 'realism'.

I remember a certain Italy-Mexico game at WC 2002 in which, after the Italians equalized, neither team even tried to look for another goal, or even attempt a decent attack, since a draw meant they were both through to the next round. I hope they get a taste of their own medicine this time, allthough I doubt it. Both the Danes and the Swedes are too honest and have too much class to fix a game.

Be sure that if swe and den find themselves 2-2 at the end of the first half the final result will be 2-2.

If the needed result was 0-0 the match will very likely end 0-0.

Just because that result would be satisfactory enough for both teams not because of a fix.

I am not worried by a fix anyway.

And I declare myself Italy's spokesman.

So if any italian will complain tell them they are not Italy as a whole. Italy as a whole it's me.

so if score will be 1-1 2-2 it's not because of a fix, but that any result can still APPLY on a football field.

Well I can surely see that Italy would fix a game, it have happened before in their country. Man they are a country were the word fair doesnt meen the same thing as here, its in their culture to cheat alittle. :D haha

When the Maffia have a big importance in a society then words like fair and rules doesnt applay anymore.

anyway you can see things how you want and you can be right or wrong, but even YOU complained for a decision that you considered wrong in the Dan vs Ita match , and that is the totti's faul just before the end of the match.
Or even you keep complainig about italian players look, italian players play style, italian players complaining about something, italian society.
then see things the way you want but right here right now you are acting like cry babies

I doubt either team will play for a tie. The opponent in the knockout stage is very important to want to be second place in the group. Plus if italiy wins by three a tie does niether any good.

Yes it does, read one of the 3 threads about it: A tie of 2-2, 3-3 or more, and Italy is out, NO MATTER WHAT the result of their game against Bulgaria is. They could win by 100 goals, and still go out.

I agree... Group C plays Group D in the quarter finals... so no team will want to play that group's winner...

Yes i root for Italy and wouldn't want to see a "fixed" game but at this point Italy has underachieved, I obviously want them to move on but if they don't I will be pissed off of course but they brought it upon themselves and plus i want to see Trap gone and the whole organization revamped, I've had it with this coaching and his style of play. Especially after I saw today's Czech-Holland game, what beautiful soccer. I'm not saying Italy will adjust to an all-out attacking formation but adjust itself so it doesnt just yearn to hold on to 1 goal leads and eventually lose them.

With regard to the game, I see both sides as honest and fair but if a 2-2 scoreline should transpire both teams will be switching to a more defensive style of play, i think that's obvious. But 2-2 is an hard scoreline to achieve, overall its been a low scoring torunament with an exception to a few matches. Sweden will be at the top of the group if they tie so they will be playing defensively from the start I believe, if they can ward off goals by Denmark so that they don't have to score 2 themselves I dont see a 2-2 score so hopefully Azzurri will go through. A more probable tie, 1-1 would tie Italy with Denmark so Italy will need to score big either way. They have to come out swinging and look for goals

I reserve 1 hour each day to a special macumba where I concentrate in front of a berluska's photo thinking "Disappear, disappear, disappear..."

So far I managed to reduce the size of his plastic party (29% in 2001, 21% in 2004).

Yes, that image is well known. :D

I prefer this one though

In theory, but in practice? If Sweden 1st, Denmark 2nd were positions both teams were cool with, then Italy could probably say bye bye, already. However, the Czech Republic ogre :D looms over group stage hill for whoever finishes second in group C, as the Czechs have already won group D and will probably be rested for next Sunday's quarterfinal. As a matter of fact, that's who Italy will play if they makes it through at all. I think Denmark will go for the win from the start against Sweden, though.

Unless of course Denmark and Sweden tie 0-0 and Italy beats Bulgaria by 7 (yeah right.....).

sweden and denmark are pretty much guaranteed a spot in the quarter finals, considering how the italians have been playing, and the way they have been playing they wont score 6 goals to advance if sweden and denmark tie.

if they do its an 'act of god' if it does happen

Funny how these Italians like to talk ******** over everything that doesn't go there way.

If anyone watched the WC02 match between Mexico & Italy, you would have seen the most boring, pathetic match ever.

Back pass to goalie all game. Not to mention, they had their people monitor the other games results and report it back.

They played out a draw to get themselves through.

Hehe, I hope it will be 2-2.
Both Danish and Swedish players are saying that they would be pleased with a 2-2 result. And if at some point the game actully becomes 2-2 they dont think that no team will be any offensive at all.

Its not to fix a game, but when both teams are having a result that meens they win I dont think they would risk it.

Italy are pretty much screwed haha, and it will be fun to see if they beat Bulgaria.
