It's my mother's birthday, too, by the way. Must ring her later on.

And she loves that old fat cat... well, hers. And Garfield, too. :)

I'm a big sucker for features of this type...

Most of the "where are they now" bits aren't too surprising, but it's interesting to note this one...

Roy Wegerle: Golf pro, PGA Europe Tour

We get that tour ocassionally on TV over here, haven't seen Roy on much, so I don't know how he's doing on tour, or how many cuts he's making.

But you want to know what one of the signs of "life ain't fair"? Alice Cooper is a scratch golfer. Alice freakin' Cooper. Scratch. Golfer.

Wish I could say the same for myself. :(

"Scolari Says Coaching Portugal Is Like Waking Up With Ugly Girl"

Okay, here's one for the "Gee I Hate It When That Happens Department"...........

-------------------------------------------------------------------
excerpt:
Spending 20 days with the Portuguese team this month was like seeing a girlfriend in the harsh morning light for the first time and realising she was ugly, coach Luiz Felipe Scolari said on Saturday.
"You sleep together, wake up and then you see what she looks like first thing in the morning -- really quite ugly."
