it's either timkins or gabbidon alongside upson-- provided upson's fit. i hope behrami is fit enough to at least make the subs bench. i think diamante and jimenez are shaping up to very similar players and i like one or the other in mid.

personally, i'd go with

--------parker
noble---------hines
-------jiminey
diamante----cole

the reserves played a 4-3-3 the other day, though, so it looks like they're employing it down the entire team.

2-2 diamante & hines

found a couple of good football blogs previewing the West Ham game here (http://betting.betfair.com/football/premiership/premier-league-betting-manchester-city-v-west-ham-270909.html), here (http://bitterandblue.blogspot.com/2009/09/west-ham-preview.html) and here. Its going to be a tough one but If you play like you did against Liverpool you could get a result - Zavon Hines looked like a good prospect, another one of the West Ham production line!!

I think we saw our best midfield for 4-4-2 last season against Hull:

Green,
Faubert, Upson, Gabbidon, Illunga
Parker
Behrami, Collison
Diamanti
Hines, Cole

(Diamanti replaes Noble in this case). This gives us a midfield diamond, without the pace down the wings but with some good passing and possession in midfield. I don't think this will work against all teams though.

So my attempt at our best 4-3-3 would be:

Green,
Faubert, Upson, Gabbidon, Illunga
Behrami, Parker, Collison
Hines, Cole, Diamanti

Diamanti and Hines would give us some running in wide positions and if they get back alot then it kind of morphs between 4-3-3 and 4-5-1. Jiminez would certainly come off the bench in both formations.

The question is which one should we go with against Man City?

I've seen everything from 2-0 to 5-0,personally i dont think we'll win by that much,1-0 to the hammers!!!;)

On ESPN in high def. Yippee

Kiss of death ...

Heard on the ESPN podcast from last week that every match ESPN has shown ... the away team has won. I believe they said it was 9 in a row for the away team on ESPN matches.

Going to have to watch on the dvr, stupid meetings after school is out.

ESPN2 HD is gorgeous. I don't watch a lot of matches where I don't have rooting interest but I do like to watch these ESPN2 matches. I'm dvr-ing it myself.
